Sarah's Key

Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay is a very interesting book. The book focuses on this one family that was involved during the Holocaust.

Sarah's Key has two narrators, Sarah Starzynski a ten-year old girl, and a woman named Julia Jarmond. Sarah Starzynski and her family was arrested, but,Sarah  thought she would be back so she  left her four-year old brother in the cupboard, their secret hiding place.Sarah kept the key to the cupboard so when she came back she could unlock it. Sarah and her parents were taken away. Sarah was terrified, but still believed she would be back. The book then goes to Julia Jarmond who is a journalist for a magazine in Paris. In 2002 she was told to write about Vel’d’Hivthe roundup. While researching she came across Sarah's story. Julia is now hooked on Sarah's story, and wants to continue to find out what happened to Sarah after the roundup.
